Trending: iPad 2 Untethered Jailbreak is Coming Soon?! Apple Stores Leap Into the Future With iPad Signage

The net’s been alive with rumor of what Apple was up to for the 10th anniversary of its Apple stores, and those of us here in the US at this early hour are still waiting to see the results for ourselves.  In some parts of the world, though, it’s already Sunday and the black bags have come off the windows, the doors have opened, and now we know what’s inside!
Apple has continued to innovate in every area, not only with their lines of iGadgets, but also with their retail storefront.  Thanks to macstories.net, we’ve got a good picture gallery showing the changes you’ll find inside the Apple stores.  Every day you walk into a store, you see a dinky paper sign with a pricetag on it, and you are not wowed at all.  Digital signage is nothing new, but never has it been done in quite such a way as this.  Apple has replaced all of its signage with iPads.
The new approach is one that we’re likely to see many companies follow in the future.  Not only does the iPad list price points, but it allows a customer to research the item, customize it to fit their needs, or page an employee over to answer any questions they might have.  If you think about it just a little bit, this has the potential to be a huge productivity booster.  How many times have you had to wander around a store looking for an employee to help you with something.  No longer!  Just page the employee to your location via an iPad.  We have to hand it to Apple for leading the way on this one.  It’s a welcome and refreshing idea that we’re sure to see more of.  Check out the gallery below, courtesy of a submitter from Sydney, Australia to MacStories.net
