Basically, the HTC Re camera intends to change the way that people think about imaging – and HTC wants to take the user out from behind the viewfinder, and to place you, the user, back where you belong, which would be right smack at the heart of all the action that is going on.
The HTC Re camera would be the latest photography innovation fro HTC that intends to re-imagine the point-and-shoot category. Being a tiny handheld camera, the periscope-like HTC Re would enable one to naturally capture and fully experience the moment, all of it done via video and photography, without allowing anything to get in your way. One might think of the GoPro camera to be worth a shot in this category, but that is more for the action oriented person.
With the HTC Re, it comes in a stunning and unique cylindrical design that was specially made to fit comfortably in your hand. Apart from that, there is also an integrated grip sensor which will instantly activate the camera when it is picked up, doing away with the need for a power button. In addition, there is a single shutter button that requires all of but one tap so that it can capture photos, while a longer press paves the way for video recording in order for you not to miss a single moment.
It sports a high-resolution, 16MP CMOS sensor, full HD (1080p) video recording, 146 degree wide-angle lens and slow-motion and time-lapse recording, letting you capture moments unlike how you ever did in the past. There will be the ability to deliver real-time video streaming to YouTube in the future, and the Re app will be made available on both Android and iOS.
