At night, our imaginations go a bit wild. Every sound, rustle of branches, or flash of light becomes a horrifying monster or ne’er-do-well that is about to attack. To calm your mind, the best solution is to either constantly keep hold of a flashlight (which thankfully most phones are now capable of), or put up lighting that will activate whenever you get home and are on your way to the door.
Of course, you can’t just put any motion sensor light up, or it will eventually be destroyed by the elements. If you’re wanting some outdoor illumination for nighttime, the the Fulcrum Motion Sensor Weatherproof Light will do the trick. This can be used indoors or outdoors, and thankfully has no wiring or plugs to fiddle with which means you won’t have to strategically place this next to an outlet. This uses LED Floodlight Technology, meaning you’ll have supremely bright light without glare that can cover a large area.
This runs off of four AA batteries, and is very easy to install as it only requires two screws. The weatherproof sealing will keep moisture out, and can laugh in the face of a storm. Of course, this doesn’t have to just be for walkways to the house. This can be above your front door so you can see the keyhole, at the top or base of a staircase, or inside of cabinets. The light stays on for around 35 seconds, and can only be reactivated after it has finished its cycle. This will cost you around $22, which isn’t bad if you only need one.
